Picard is back! The Venom Trailer is out! & the “Brew Ja’s are in!”

August 5, 2018 in Episodes

Tonight the round table opens up with big news on Sir Patrick Stewart better known to some as “Captain Picard from Star Trek The Next Generation” and the “X-men” movies where he played of course Professor X himself Charles Francis Xavier. Well he’s back in the title role as a new series is going to stream on CBS New streaming platform, and this show will compliment Discovery, and other possible Trek serieses they might have lined up and headed our way.

Also got into it a bit on Zodwriters hate for the fact that “Benedict Cumberbatch” aka Cumber to the Batch one of the best actors around today IMO played Kahn in the movie “Star Trek Into Darkness” which Jackal loved, and so does a lot of the mainstream fans or main movie going fans but of course Zod, and some of the fanboys online of TOS and films hated that used his character which was silly since they look so much alike! Here is a photoshopped photo to prove it!

We spoke about beer for a bit as Mr Jason Justice is a brew man himself, and gave us a little inside into the beer brewing world. Check the YouTube show he’s on “The Brew J’s.”

We talked about the trailer for Venom, and much much more! So join us by……. And enjoy the round table this week.

Sorry for Zodwriters head set issues… lol

Philip Seymour Hoffman 1967-2014

Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment, the Wall Street Journal reported Sunday (Feb. 2).

The 46-year-old actor’s cause of death has yet to be determined but the New York Police Department is investigating and a law-enforcement official confirmed to WSJ that the Academy Award-winning actor died in his 35 Bethune St., West Village home.

The New York Post reports that Hoffman was found dead on his bathroom floor of an apparent drug overdose by a friend at 11:30 a.m. According to the New York Times, the friend visited Hoffman’s home after he could not get a hold of the actor and grew concerned. WSJ criminal justice reporter Pervaiz Shallwani tweeted that Hoffman was alone at the time of his death and the man who found him was screenwriter David Katz, with whom Hoffman had recently been working on a project. dmx_zimmerman_homepage_newAlso George Zimmerman to fight DMX? WTF!!! That’s right it looks like DMX is the man picked to fight George Zimmerman who’s been making noise hyping up an upcoming ppv fight where he said he would take on ANYONE! Jackal signed up, and was very disappointed that they picked DMX, and not him.

Also the guys talk about the X-MEN movies, and who would they chose to play Wolverine if they were to reboot the actual entire series. Also the conversation turns to the new Transformers 4 trailer from the Superbowl, and each of the guys give their 2cents on the trailer.

I don’t know if you know this, but I’ve been a comic book artist for 24 years, having worked for both Marvel and DC comics on the likes of The X Men and Spider Man to Batman and The Justice League. There are more than 425 comics that list my name in the credits and 7,000 pages that bear my ink lines on them.

I created the concepts for Banana Tail along with my dear old departed Dad more then 10 years ago.

Here we are 10+ years later with 2 books under my belt, a third in the works, a computer generated movie being created completely based on my first storybook and now an affiliation with the worlds largest bookseller, Barnes and Noble. Things are moving in the right direction for me. I’ve just reached the milestone of the 1 millionth hit on my website for the year, for the first time in the 3 years that I’ve had this site. I’ve received visits to from countries like Iceland, Denmark, Japan and Romania and it boggles my mind that children from these countries might be familiar with Banana Tail.

As I said, things are moving in the right direction for me, but it’s a slow arduous effort to get parents, teachers and even retailers to see Banana Tail the way that many kids and adults do. If you are a parent, retailer or a teacher and have visited this site with a child before and like what you see, please help me keep Banana Tail alive and fresh by reaching out to me. I make school appearances and will discuss traveling reasonable distances to make appearances. I offer a PTO fundraising effort with no appearance fee to the schools I visit and it ends up being a rewarding experience for everybody involved. If you are a retailer, I can discuss wholesale discounts and signed editions for your store to carry.

I will keep continuing to create Banana Tail stories and strive to move forward to make Banana Tail a household name. Its hard, but rewarding work. Thank all of you for your support!
